What GOTS Means
GOTS goes well beyond a simple “organic” label. It’s a meticulous, internationally recognized certification that ensures textiles are made:
From genuinely certified organic fibers
With strict environmental protections at each stage of production
And with fair labour practices and safe working conditions throughout the supply chain
Products certified to GOTS must contain a minimum percentage of certified organic fiber and every step of the processing, manufacturing, and trading chain must meet the standard’s criteria before a product can carry the logo.
What It Takes to Become GOTS-Certified
It begins with traceability.
Materials must come from verified organic sources, and every part of the supply chain is documented to ensure transparency and consistency.
It continues through responsible production.
From processing to manufacturing, strict standards govern which substances can be used, how water and waste are managed, and how environmental impact is minimized.
It’s verified through independent audits.

GOLS is a trusted, independent standard focused specifically on products made from organically grown natural latex. It ensures that the latex you sleep on:
Is sourced from certified organic plantations
Meets strict limits on harmful substances and emissions

To carry the GOLS seal, a product must contain a very high proportion of certified organic latex, and every step of the supply chain must be traceable and independently verified.
What It Takes to Become GOLS-Certified
It starts with truly organic latex.
The latex must come from plantations that use organic farming practices and be processed in facilities that meet environmental standards. GOLS requires at least 95% certified organic latex, with clear limits on additives and emissions.
It includes environmental responsibility.
Manufacturers must limit chemicals and emissions, manage waste thoughtfully, and handle natural materials in ways that protect ecosystems and worker health.
It covers social and ethical care.
