Obasan Custom Mattresses are built using a Multi-Zone Customization System designed to align your spine, relieve pressure points, and provide balanced support from shoulders to legs.
Each custom mattress is housed within a zippered encasement and made up of three key layers:
A Comfort Top Layer
The comfort layer creates a smooth, seamless sleep surface while holding everything beneath it in place. With a consistent feel across all custom models, it delivers immediate comfort without revealing the customizable components below.
A Modular Middle Layer
This is where personalization comes to life. The middle layer consists of six individual organic latex blocks that can be adjusted by zone. Using our mattress builder tool or guidance from a Sleep Specialist, firmness can be tailored to support your shoulders, spine, and legs exactly where it's needed most.
A Supportive Bottom Layer
Each custom mattress is built on a durable organic latex base designed for long-term stability. The Classic includes a fixed firm base, while the Deluxe and Grand offer customizable Medium or Firm support, with optional dual-split construction for partners.

Essential Mattress | Not Customizable
The ideal starting point for anyone looking to experience the benefits of a mattress made entirely from natural materials. The Essential offers thoughtful simplicity with a small degree of flexibility.
The Essential includes two organic latex layers, one Medium-Firm and one Firm. You can choose which layer sits on top and which forms the base to fine-tune the feel at home. Beyond this choice, the mattress is not customizable.
