We’ve come a long way at Obasan. From making conventional mattresses under the name Sleeptek, to creating customized mattresses from the finest organic and ethically sourced materials. The journey would not have been possible, however, without our amazing employees. They’ve come from different backgrounds to join the Obasan team and have all embodied our philosophy in the fullest way possible. Each member of our team brings skill, dedication, and most importantly, passion, to their job. Without them we wouldn’t have been able to create mattresses that let you sleep well, and live well the next day.
Jean had already been in the mattress business for a decade when he started Obasan with a mandate to create organic mattresses specially designed for those with chemical sensitivities. Over the years he’s travelled the world to find the finest organic and ethically sourced materials from places like Malaysia and Argentina.
